We have seen very good results with our elderly pug with existing health issues. Dr. Burks and Dr. Harmon have been wonderful providing care for our pup. Their staff is welcoming and friendly.

Dr. Burks, Dr. Harmon and their whole team are some of the best and most caring people we have ever met. We have been taking our pups to Dr. Burks for over 5 years and trust his knowledge, insight, and overall expertise when it comes to all things dogs. Dr. Harmon is also incredibly knowledgeable and takes extra time and care, especially in more complex situations. These people truly care about the well-being of animals and show it time and time again, going above and beyond any standard expectations. Wish we could give more stars!

We had Helens penn-hipp test by Dr. Martin on Jan 21st, I was a bit nervous about having it done. The staff from the time we came in were professional throughout the entire visit. They addressed every question and concern we had about the procedure. I cannot recommend them enough, and as a professional dog trainer training working like dogs I will be back for all penn-hipp testing in the future.

Dr. Upton was fantastic—he saw our dog as a walk-in this evening, quickly diagnosed the issue, and got him treated right away. He took the time to explain everything clearly and was incredibly personable and patient. Having a vet open until 10:00 pm is a total game changer! No emergency fees!

Dr. Scott Upton is an outstanding after-hours veterinarian. When you’re dealing with a stressful situation outside of normal business hours, having someone as responsive, knowledgeable, and compassionate as Dr. Upton makes all the difference. He took the time to thoroughly assess the situation, explain everything clearly, and provide excellent care when it was needed most. You can tell he genuinely cares about both the animals and their owners. Highly recommend him to anyone in need of reliable after-hours veterinary care.

Dr. Scott Upton has been absolutely wonderful for our family and our dog. He genuinely cares about the animals he treats and always takes the time to make sure our dog is well cared for. One of the things we appreciate most is his availability after hours—it gives us so much peace of mind knowing we have someone we trust when unexpected situations come up. On top of that, his pricing is much more reasonable compared to other after-hours vets in the Birmingham area.
